‘A Generation that ignores History has no past and no future’ (Marshall McLuhan)
The congregation of sisters of the Holy Spirit was founded on 4th June 1857, at Koblenz, Germany by Mother Irmina Hoelscher and her companions. The main aim of the founding members were to respond to the need of the time. After almost a century congregation branched out to India on 21st January 1973 in the diocese of Chanda, Ballarpur. Sisters realised the pressing need for a standardized English medium school in Ballarpur. On 4th August 1975, we started Dilasagram English medium Pre-Primary school in the convent premises with 19 students. On 27th October 1976, the foundation stone for the school building was laid, as the first school of the society. The small seed that was planted in the year 1975 did grow into a huge tree with 2000 above students imparting the shelter of knowledge. Eventually responding to the need of the time and place school started its CBSE wing in the year 2007. Today Dilasagram School stands in its peak as the best school of the city and of the district with regard to its discipline and academics.
