DILASAGRAM CONVENT SCHOOL LIBRARY is serving since the school is established, with continuous increase in collection and resources.

The primary objective of our school library is to provide resources to enrich and to support the educational program of the school and also to promote meaningful resource based and process based activities and inquiry that will enable students to become “effective users of ideas and information and responsible lifelong learners.”

We have fully equipped library with separate stack room , reading hall and technical section .We provide service of issuing  the books with open access. Along with print media we serve information in electronic form, such as online databases and CDs.

There is collection of over 5000 books which include,

• Teachers supporting material such as handbooks, guides, curriculum related material, motivational books ,etc.
• Reference books such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, biographies, autobiographies, etc .
• Books are available for students of different ages on various categories, such as literature, foreign author creations, history, geography, general knowledge, computer science , variety of story books ,Dailies and magazines .

To support curricular needs of students and teachers we have books from NCERT publication, central and state board publications. We also have some other famous publications such as, S.CHAND publication , Evergreen publication, Rachna sagar publication, VK publications , Oswal publication, Pioneer publications, Examguru publication, etc.

we conduct activities such as, story hours for young ones by creative demonstration of stories, plays, author talks, etc .  School magazine containing student’s writings and self made literature helps in promoting library using habits in students

EVERY BOOK  SHOULD GET ITS READER AND EVERY READER SHOULD GET BOOK OF HIS/HER INTEREST.
